(Bandar Seri Begawan, 29th) – The Brunei Ministry of Finance and Economy’s Department of Industry and Business Ecosystem (IBE), through its Weights and Measures Unit (SDT), has announced a series of routine inspections and calibrations of fuel pump equipment at gas stations to be carried out in December 2025. This initiative aims to ensure that all fuel pump meters used for trade comply with the requirements of Chapter 151 of the 1983 Weights and Measures Act, and that their readings are accurate, lawful, and registered with the Weights and Measures Unit.
To ensure the safety of staff and the public during inspection periods, affected gas stations will temporarily suspend operations from 9:00 a.m. on the day of inspection, with an expected closure of about two hours. The affected stations and times are as follows:

● December 8 (Monday) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Satenaga Tanjung Nangka
● December 9 (Tuesday) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Pengalayan Kapok
● December 15 (Monday) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Kampong Sungai Teraban (KKST) Sdn Bhd Station
● December 23 (Tuesday) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: PHA Bakar Bin Jambol Station
● December 6 (Saturday) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Taib Beribi Station (Stesen Minyak Taib Beribi)

This inspection is one of three routine operations held annually, aimed at protecting consumer rights and strengthening the regulation of fuel station equipment usage. The public is advised to plan refueling times in advance to avoid inconvenience.
