Due to attacks on oil storage facilities, a temporary fuel rationing measure has been implemented for car refueling in Iran’s capital Tehran and Alborz Province.
According to Iranian media reports, in order to ensure steady fuel supply, temporary fuel limits have been set in some affected areas, with the cap for personal fuel cards reduced from 30 liters to 20 liters per fill. Meanwhile, natural gas supplies remain sufficient, and all gas stations in Tehran and Alborz Province are operating 24 hours a day.
The reports stated that despite the disruption to oil supplies, thanks to strategic reserves and launching alternative routes, there is no cause for concern over continued fuel supply.
On the 8th, IRNA quoted the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company as saying that on the evening of the 7th, four oil storage facilities and one oil product transfer center in Tehran and Alborz Province were attacked by fighter jets, resulting in the deaths of four oil tanker drivers.
