(Seria, 19th) Luo Xuexian, President of the Brunei Chongzhen Hakka General Association, stated in her speech that looking back over the past year, the association has not only successfully achieved a significant milestone — the successful purchase of a shop property as the association's clubhouse — but also successfully organized the association's 15th anniversary celebration, as well as the unveiling ceremony of the clubhouse's signboard. This series of achievements marks a new stage in the association’s development and has further enhanced our cohesion and public image.
These achievements were hard-won. Here, I would especially like to
thank the generous permanent Honorary Advisors for providing interest-free loans and strong support at critical moments, enabling the association to achieve this historic breakthrough. At the same time, I sincerely thank every board member and all members for their trust, persistence, and dedication over the years. It is precisely because of everyone's unity and cooperation that today’s Chongzhen Hakka General Association has been accomplished.
"Looking ahead to the new year, we have several important tasks to advance: First, we will continue to complete the updating of member information. At present, we have begun collecting member information and are gradually adding everyone to our WhatsApp group to strengthen communication and connection. However, during implementation, we have encountered some challenges, such as some members not having a mobile number for contact, or choosing to leave the group after joining. Next, we will actively explore more effective ways to strengthen ties with these members to ensure that everyone remains closely connected."
"Secondly, we will focus on encouraging the participation of the younger generation. The future of the association lies in the addition of new blood. We hope to attract more young people to join the Chongzhen Hakka General Association, understand our mission, participate in our activities, carry on our legacy, and continue our spirit."
In addition, during the updating of member information, the association was pleased to discover that some members have reached the age of 100. This is not only an honor but also a precious heritage. This year, the association plans to carry out visits to elderly members to express our care and respect for them, and at the same time, let the younger generation draw wisdom and strength from their life experiences.
She emphasized that the development of the association has never been the effort of just one person but the collective perseverance and contribution of everyone; the future of the association also depends on each and every one of us continuing to move forward hand in hand.
