(Ukraine, 22nd) Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on the 21st that the Ukrainian side is striving for the next round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia to yield results, and will do its utmost, never becoming an obstacle to peace.
In his video address, he pointed out that the recent trilateral talks held in Geneva, Switzerland did not achieve any "truly significant results," and that ensuring tangible outcomes in the next round of talks is both necessary and possible.
Zelensky revealed that he plans to meet with European partners next week for detailed coordination to ensure Europe's involvement in all negotiation processes.
The two-day Ukraine-US-Russia trilateral talks concluded on the 18th in Geneva without any documents being signed. This round of talks was held behind closed doors, with all parties discussing key factors for resolving the Ukraine issue, including military, political, and humanitarian factors.
The head of the Russian delegation, Medinsky, said the negotiations were “difficult but pragmatic.”
