(Harbin, 22nd) On the evening of the 21st, Harbin Ice and Snow World issued an announcement stating that due to a sudden rise in temperature on February 20th and 21st, the park will be officially closed from now on. Measures such as full refunds and “free visit next year” will be implemented.

Harbin Ice and Snow World usually opens in mid to late December each year, operating until late February or early March the following year, with the specific closing date depending on weather and temperature.

According to China News Service, temperatures in Harbin have risen sharply in the past two days, breaking historical records, causing severe melting of the ice and snow attractions at Harbin Ice and Snow World. To ensure the safety and experience of visitors, the 27th Harbin Ice and Snow World is officially closed as of now, and ticket holders can apply for a full refund through their original purchase channel.

The announcement stated that the adjustment of opening and closing times at short notice has caused inconvenience for visitors. To express their apology, Harbin Ice and Snow World has decided that visitors who purchased tickets for February 20 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year) to February 28 (the twelfth day of the Lunar New Year) for the 27th Harbin Ice and Snow World can, after refunding their tickets, use their personal ID to visit the next Harbin Ice and Snow World for free.

The world’s largest indoor ice and snow themed park, Dream Ice and Snow Pavilion—located within the Harbin Ice and Snow World—will “take over” and open at 12:00 pm on February 22 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year). Popular attractions from this year’s Harbin Ice and Snow World, such as the twelve zodiac signs, ice piano, steam train, and ice harp, will be recreated in the Dream Ice and Snow Pavilion.

The 27th Harbin Ice and Snow World opened on December 17, 2025, with the theme “Ice and Snow, Fairy Tale World.” The total area of the park reached 1.2 million square meters. Since opening, it has attracted many domestic and international visitors. On February 19 this year (the third day of the Lunar New Year), the park received over 120,000 visitors in a single day, setting a new record for the highest single-day attendance since opening.
