(Hanoi, 21st) On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese People's Procuracy (July 26, 1960 — July 26, 2025), General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Su Lin attended the commemorative conference held in Hanoi on the 21st of this month, and awarded the collective of the Supreme People's Procuracy the title of 'Labor Hero' to honor its outstanding contributions in judicial reform and social governance.
In his speech, Su Lin highly praised the Procuracy's role in ensuring judicial fairness and maintaining the rule of law, stating that it is one of the indispensable pillars of a socialist law-based country. He pointed out that as the country enters a new stage of development, higher demands are being placed on the People's Procuracy, which must be met through Party-building leadership, strengthening team building, and improving the overall performance capacity.
He called on the Procuracy to build a professional team that is politically steadfast, highly skilled, morally upright, and strictly disciplined, to enhance judicial oversight functions, fight judicial corruption according to the law, and effectively protect national interests as well as the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Su Lin emphasized that under the new circumstances, there should be active promotion of digital transformation, moving towards the goal of an 'electronic procuracy', simplifying procedures, improving efficiency, and enhancing transparency. At the same time, international prosecutorial cooperation should be expanded to promote modernization and intelligent development of prosecutorial work.
After the commemorative conference, Su Lin visited the People's Procuracy Smart Operation Center to learn how, empowered by technology, the center achieves full-process digital management of criminal cases. The center is regarded as an important milestone for the People's Procuracy system in moving towards intelligence and modernization.
