According to reports from IRNA and several other Iranian media outlets on the evening of the 16th, the US military carried out attacks that day on multiple pieces of infrastructure in southern Iran—airports, bridges, train stations—resulting in at least 7 deaths and multiple casualties.
The reports stated that Shahre Airport in Sistan and Baluchestan Province was hit by US missile strikes. Local residents heard three violent explosions near the airport, leaving one person injured. The airport suffered a power outage, but the fire has been extinguished.
The reports pointed out that multiple areas in Hormozgan Province were also attacked. The US military struck two bridges in the province, causing 7 deaths and 9 injuries. An attack on a train station in Bandar Abbas in the same province resulted in 2 injuries.
On the 16th, US Central Command posted on social media stating that at 2:00 pm Eastern Time on the 16th, the US military launched a new round of strikes against Iran for the "sixth consecutive night" to further weaken Iran's military capabilities.
