Chiew Choon Man: Education is the Key to Changing Fate, Encouraging Students to Boldly Pursue Their Dreams

 (Miri, 19th) Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man stated that education is the key to changing one's fate, and success does not come from luck but from effort, discipline, and a continuous learning attitude. He encourages students to bravely pursue their dreams, study hard, seize opportunities, and lay a solid foundation for the future.

 

He made this statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of the "Miri Higher Education Counseling and Education Fair and Malaysia Education Certificate (SPM) Answering Skills Workshop" yesterday.

 

He said this event not only provides students with a platform to explore further education directions but also assists students in enhancing their exam capabilities through workshops in history and mathematics, which is of significant importance.

 

“The education fair gives students the opportunity to have face-to-face exchanges with representatives from various tertiary institutions, understand different course options and career directions. For Form 5 students who are in a state of confusion, this is an excellent opportunity to clarify future planning.”

 

He pointed out that history and mathematics have always been subjects where many students face challenges in SPM, but improvement is not difficult as long as one masters the correct exam techniques and learning methods.

 

“Today's course is an opportunity for you to feel more confident before the exam. Remember, there is no shortcut to success, only through persistence, effort, and continuous learning can dreams be realized.”

 

He also encouraged the students present that regardless of their background, everyone has the potential to change their life, the key lies in whether they are willing to seize educational opportunities through hard work.

 

“Do not be afraid to make mistakes, and do not give up easily. The effort you put in today will shape your future self.”

 

He also thanked all teachers, parents, and the organizers for their contributions and support to youth education, stating that only with the joint efforts of all sectors of society can a better growth environment and development platform be provided for the next generation.
