Hakka Community Celebrates Dragon Boat Festival - Beach Charity Sale Event Fosters Community Ties

(Kuala Belait, 20th) The Brunei Hakka Association held a Dragon Boat Festival beach event and charity sale yesterday afternoon at 3pm at Kuala Belait Jubilee Park, attracting enthusiastic participation from members, fellow townspeople, and their families. Everyone gathered together to celebrate the festive occasion, creating a lively and warm atmosphere.

The organizers carefully arranged a variety of programs, including the distribution of zongzi lucky bags, charity sales of various delicacies, warm-up exercises, dance performances, riddle guessing, and fun games. The aim was to promote community interaction, strengthen friendship and connections among members and fellow Hakka, and enable everyone to enjoy a joyful and meaningful Dragon Boat Festival.

During the event, each attendee received a zongzi lucky bag, symbolizing auspiciousness, happiness, and well-being during the festival. The charity sale featured a range of specialty foods for visitors to taste while also supporting the development of community activities.

Additionally, the warm-up exercises, dance performances, and riddle guessing games were popular among all ages, with enthusiastic participation from both young and old. The venue was filled with laughter and a strong festive atmosphere.

The organizers said that this beach event not only provided a platform for members and community members to celebrate together, but also allowed everyone to connect in a relaxed and joyful environment, further uniting the Hakka community and promoting the Hakka spirit of mutual help and love.
