(Miri, 23rd) Democratic Action Party Youth Wing Leader David Yeo Ang Lim emphasized today that the party chairman, Dato' Sri Tiong King Sing, jokingly stated at a Perak banquet speech that 'if Yik Chun's state assembly seat is lost to PAS, the shorts from the sexy performances can only be admired at home.' Therefore, they express strong dissatisfaction with Gerakan's National Youth Wing Propaganda Director and Perak State Youth Wing Leader Huang Rongjun for misinterpreting and 'dragging others down'! His malicious misinterpretation and outrageous comments make it hard for the public to agree with the quality of this Chinese youth leader!
She questions whether it is Huang Rongjun's personal inclination leading him to 'fantasize every day'? Or is he so immersed in beauty that he cannot extricate himself? Even if the banquet offered different styles of song and dance performances for the public to choose from according to their preferences, there was no such thing as 'forcing personal preferences on others' which Huang Rongjun 'selectively ignored' while focusing his attention solely on what he refers to as the ‘sexy performances’? Did this make it difficult for him to shift his gaze, leading him to 'mentally elaborate' on Tiong King Sing's words, uttering the absurd statement that 'Tiong King Sing loves watching sexy performances'?
“Is it possible the collaboration between the Gerakan and PAS has influenced them as well, slowly being assimilated and heading towards extremism? Like a startled bird overreacting at the slightest disturbance, eager to stir up a storm and politicizing every issue into ethnic, religious, or political topics, unknowingly exacerbating the ethnic rifts!”
Yeo Ang Lim further stated that the banquet was open to all, and the organizers arranged a series of 'elegant and popular' song and dance performances to cater to the attendees' needs, allowing everyone to enjoy the event together. If attendees find certain performances not to their liking, they can choose not to watch and focus on enjoying the banquet food.
“This is what our party chairman, Dato' Sri Tiong King Sing, consistently emphasizes: Malaysia is a multi-ethnic country where mutual respect among ethnic groups is essential for harmonious coexistence. When encountering situations conflicting with one's cultural values, one should simply not participate without unnecessary criticism or exaggeration.”
He advises Huang Rongjun, as a young Chinese leader, to be open-minded and diligent in the political journey, especially practicing cautious speech and pragmatic governance, instead of speaking recklessly for attention. Moreover, he warns against losing face for the Chinese community for momentary bravado, making them a laughing stock for other ethnicities!
