"2025 is a very important year for me." Artiste Lawrence Wong reflected on the past year, admitting that every actor, at some stage, has to pause to contemplate the next step and what new challenges await. For him, 2025 has been a year of continuous exploration and recalibration of life's and career's coordinates, filling him with confidence and anticipation for the upcoming 2026.
Wong described the past year as a "crucial stage for reassessing direction," saying, "I was filming, had works broadcast, and tried many new things. Every step was a process of exploring to see which path suited me, and what attitude I should adopt towards work and life." Through ongoing experimentation and reflection, he gradually clarified his goals and became more determined in his way forward, hoping to continue moving ahead with a clear sense of direction in 2026.

Aside from being in front of the camera, Wong has also been proactively expanding his interests behind the scenes. His directorial debut short film "ESKY," themed around the unconditional loyalty between humans and their pets, won critical acclaim at international film festivals for its subtle visual language and emotional tension. It took home the Best New Director Award at the Hollywood Gold Awards and the Best Director Award at the 2025 Vienna International Film Festival, marking a milestone in his journey as a director.
