(Turkey, 7th) — A highway accident occurred in Osmaniye Province, southern Turkey, early on the 6th, when a bus collided with a truck. According to the provincial governor's office, seven passengers have died and eleven passengers were injured.
According to Turkish media reports, the accident occurred on the highway connecting Adana and Gaziantep, about 90 kilometers west of Gaziantep. A semi-truck, which had stopped on the road due to a blown tire before dawn, was struck by the bus.
The bus was an intercity passenger bus.
Agence France-Presse reported that footage from the scene showed the right front of the bus, which had crashed into the rear of the semi-truck, was completely crushed.
All the deceased and injured were bus passengers, and identification efforts are still ongoing. The semi-truck driver has been detained, and police have closed the road.
