Kuching North City Partners with Malaysian Red Crescent to Enhance Local Emergency Awareness

(Kuching, 8th) The Kuching North City Hall has officially signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society Kuching Branch to jointly enhance the community's awareness and knowledge of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in Kuching North.

Under the framework of this memorandum, the cooperation between the two parties primarily focuses on raising awareness and knowledge of CPR and AED through various awareness seminars among the members of the Kuching North community.

This collaboration will be rolled out in four phases, with the first phase targeting the municipal council's staff, followed by the second phase involving public institutions and bureaucratic companies within Kuching North, the third phase focusing on private institutions in the area, and the final phase aimed at the general public of Kuching North.

After signing the memorandum, both parties immediately launched the first phase of cooperation. In the first phase, they jointly organized a three-day CPR and AED awareness seminar.

This three-day awareness seminar was supported and responded to by over 300 staff members from the Kuching North City Hall.

In the long-term plan, the Kuching North City Hall and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society Kuching Branch will also work together to enhance the awareness and knowledge of CPR and AED among primary and secondary school students in Kuching North area.
