After 'Seagull' and 'Phoenix', At Least 250 Dead in the Philippines

The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Office of Civil Defense stated on the 11th that the two recent typhoons that made landfall in the Philippines, 'Seagull' and 'Phoenix', have left at least 250 dead and affected millions.

The Civil Defense Office reported on the 11th that Super Typhoon 'Phoenix' made landfall on Luzon Island on the night of the 9th and has so far caused at least 18 deaths.

'Phoenix' left the Philippines and entered the South China Sea on the 10th, and is expected to head toward Taiwan.

According to data released by the NDRRMC on the same day, Typhoon 'Seagull', which landed in the Philippines in the early morning of the 4th, has already caused at least 232 deaths and 112 people are missing. 'Seagull' left the Philippines in the early morning of the 6th.

The two typhoons have caused widespread damage, destroying houses, farmland, and some key infrastructure.
