Hong Kong singer Huang Dawei passed away suddenly from acute myocardial infarction in June at the age of 61. Unexpectedly, after his death, family and financial disputes surfaced. According to “Mirror Weekly” reports, Huang Dawei and his manager girlfriend Vicky, who had been together and worked with him for 31 years, had already accumulated friction over music royalties and other financial issues. When Vicky traveled to Hong Kong last Christmas for a family gathering with Huang’s family, she had a fierce conflict with Huang Dawei's elder sister, which became the fuse for their falling out. Huang Dawei subsequently left for Hawaii, USA empty-handed at the end of last year, not knowing that this departure would be their final farewell.
Facing outside suspicion of fighting for inheritance, Vicky responded with a long statement, bluntly saying she 'never thought of inheriting,' and only seeks the truth about her lover’s cause of death. She painfully accused that after Huang Dawei’s passing, she has yet to see the death certificate, and even when she messaged and pleaded with Huang Dawei's eldest sister to see her beloved for one last time, she was left on read with no reply, suspecting that she was being deliberately isolated by the Huang family. Additionally, Vicky made a shocking accusation, alleging that Huang Dawei's brother-in-law had sexually harassed her, and that Huang Dawei’s trip back to the United States was originally to communicate and handle this matter, but unexpectedly news of his death came instead. Vicky stated she will go to Hong Kong to meet Huang’s mother to clarify the funeral arrangements and cause of death. Currently, all related accusations are solely from Vicky; Huang’s family has yet to respond.
