Kim Jong-un Pays Tribute to Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Martyrs

According to a report by KCNA on the 15th, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation, Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, visited the Taesongsan Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery on the 14th.

The report stated that, accompanied by the "Flower Laying March," a wreath in the name of Kim Jong-un was placed at the wreath stand of the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery.

Kim Jong-un declared that the steadfast revolutionary faith and indomitable fighting spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters have injected everlasting vitality into the Korean people's journey to build a prosperous and powerful nation.

Active Cooperation Between Russia and North Korea

The report also noted that Kim Jong-un received a congratulatory message from Russian President Putin on the 14th.

The message celebrated Korea’s "Liberation Day," noting that Russia and North Korea are actively cooperating in various areas and are working together to ensure regional security and stability.

The message indicated that the relationship between Russia and North Korea has been elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership, and that the two countries will continue to advance joint endeavors concerning urgent bilateral and international issues.

August 15 is Korea’s "Liberation Day," commemorating the liberation of the Korean Peninsula from Japanese colonial rule on August 15, 1945.
