The Han Kuang 42 military exercise in Taiwan ended on the 14th. President Lai Ching-te stated that this exercise further introduced advanced equipment and unmanned systems, and verified various types of the latest training methods. The government will continue to strengthen national defense and accelerate the research, development, manufacturing, and application of advanced equipment such as unmanned systems. By combining Taiwan’s advantages in information and communications technology, semiconductors, and precision manufacturing, a more complete and resilient national defense supply chain will be built.
Lai Ching-te posted on Facebook in the evening, writing that this year’s Han Kuang exercise has come to an end, but the pace of strengthening national defense and enhancing the resilience of the entire society will not stop. The government will work together with the military and all citizens to make every preparation necessary, using our strength to safeguard the democratic and free way of life, standing united to maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and making Taiwan safer and stronger.
Lai Ching-te stated, “Over the course of ten days and nine nights, our military brothers and sisters devoted themselves day and night to training. From frontline missions to the command, communications, logistics, and medical teams in the rear, every position is an indispensable part of safeguarding national security.”
