(Kuching, 24th) The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar , urges all Sarawakians to use the opportunity of celebrating Christmas and New Year 2025 to instill the spirit of love and brotherhood, enhancing unity among all layers of society.

He stated that unity is not only the foundation of strength for the region but also reflects Sarawak's identity as a diverse society.

He believes that this indirectly shows the world how racial, religious, and cultural differences are perceived as beauty enriching community life rather than a cause of division.

“This concept of inclusivity towards different races is also the strength of Sarawak society, which has led to the application of 'one big family' values. I believe we have become a group that consistently cares about the welfare benefits and needs of other families.”

With the firm support of all Sarawakians, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar  is confident that the people of Sarawak will continue to live in an atmosphere of harmony and respect for each other's cultures, lifestyles, and beliefs.

In his Christmas and New Year 2025 message today, he also expressed appreciation and gratitude to Sarawak's security personnel, including institutions involved in caring for the people's welfare and Sarawak's stability, especially in facing the challenges of the current northeast monsoon season.

In fact, he also thanked all educators, including Sarawak civil servants, for their commitment and close cooperation in educating the next generation and ensuring the effective operation of public administration systems to advance Sarawak.

At the end of his message, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar  also wished Sarawak to continue being blessed and successful in the coming year.

“Let us join hands to ensure the welfare of Sarawak remains under the protection of Almighty God.”

In conjunction with this year's Christmas celebration, he also reminded those returning home to prioritize road safety and advised commercial vehicle drivers to follow the rules and drive carefully.

“Furthermore, let us take care of our physical and mental health, ensuring the well-being of ourselves and our loved ones, so that the new year brings more happiness and success.”
