It is reported that Israel has informed the United States with intelligence showing that Iran has devised a new plan to assassinate U.S. President Trump. On the 10th, Trump stated that he has left instructions that if he is assassinated by Iran, the U.S. should bomb Iran on an unprecedented scale.
In an interview with U.S. media, Trump said he has long been on Iran's blacklist, and that this is the situation the United States is facing, "The only way is, I have already left instructions: if anything happens, strike Iran with a strength it has never seen before."
When asked by a reporter about Israel having intelligence that Iran is plotting to assassinate him, Trump said Iran has wanted to remove him for years, Israel hasn't informed him of anything, and there is no new plan.
According to the New York Post, Trump said: "For a long time, I have been Iran's number one target on their assassination list, that's just life, you know."
"I hope you'll miss me," he added, his tone seeming somewhat helpless and resigned about Tehran authorities never giving up on eliminating him.
During his first presidential term, Trump ordered the killing of Quds Force commander Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in 2020; since then, Iran has repeatedly vowed to eliminate Trump.
According to Iranian media reports, at a memorial this week for the late Supreme Leader Khamenei, an eulogist declared: "Why shouldn’t we kill the one who killed my Imam, who killed my leader? Assassinating Trump is our duty... Why is the most vile person in the world still alive?"
