Joseph Salang Appointed as DCCI Special Advisor

(Kuching, 15th) The Supreme Council of the Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has appointed Dato Sri Joseph Salang as Special Advisor, with a term from 2026 to 2029.
DCCI Chairman Allan Keripin Nangkai stated that this appointment reflects the association's commitment to leveraging experienced leadership and strategic vision to further strengthen the organization's role.
He said: "Salang's extensive experience, strong dedication, and unique insights are believed to play a key role in leading the association to achieve its strategic vision and goals, especially in advancing the interests of the Dayak business community.
"We also hope to benefit from his perspective to support broader socio-economic development initiatives."
Salang has a wealth of experience in politics and leadership, having served as the President of the Sarawak People's Party (PRS) and as Member of Parliament for Julau.
In addition, he has served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, and Deputy Minister of Information, Communications and Culture.
He also has a background in banking, having worked as a bank officer before venturing into politics.
About DCCI, the organization was established in 2003 and aims to promote the economic development of Sarawak's Dayak community.
