Lim Lut Chung Young Leo Club Jointly Organizes Leadership Sharing Session – 80 Teachers, Students and Lions Participate

(Miri, 15th) The Lim Lut Chung Young Leo Club and Miri Wenhua Lions Club recently and successfully co-organized an extraordinary leadership literacy sharing event, specially inviting International Lions Club District 308-A2 Past District Governor Dato’ Chan Sao How as the keynote speaker to share his wisdom and success philosophy with the young students in attendance.
The theme of this seminar was "The Initiative Is Mine", emphasizing the importance of personal initiative and self-control. The event attracted a total of 80 participants, including members from both the Young Leo Club and the Lions Club, resulting in a lively atmosphere on-site. The organizing chairperson was Chua Chun San, who, under his leadership and coordination, ensured the entire process was smooth and orderly, fully showcasing the outstanding organizational abilities and leadership potential of the Leos.

During the event, keynote speaker Dato’ Chan Sao How drew on his rich experience in the business world and his background serving in various leadership roles in organizations, to explain in a simple and approachable way how to master one’s life proactively with a positive mindset. He encouraged the Leos not to be limited by their environment, but instead to proactively create value and continuously enhance their own competitiveness.
This event carries profound significance, aiming to assist secondary school students in establishing correct values and career direction through the sharing of experience from senior leaders. In a rapidly changing era, adopting the attitude of "the initiative is mine" not only demonstrates leadership, but also represents the psychological resilience indispensable for youths when facing academic pressures and future challenges.
Lim Lut Chung Principal Ms. Kong Pei Juan gave high praise to the event. She stated that the school has always been committed to the all-round development of students, and the close cooperation between the Young Leo Club and its parent Miri Wenhua Lions Club has indeed provided students with a quality platform to connect with society.
She went on to state that Dato’ Chan Sao How’s sharing was like timely rain, enabling students to gain valuable real-world insights beyond their academic curriculum. She also commended the dedication and efforts of the organizing committee, and expressed her hope that the Leos would put the spirit of "the initiative is mine" into practice in their daily lives, growing into responsible and action-oriented pillars of society.
