(Kuching, 4th) The Sarawak Scouts Headquarters recently held a simple yet solemn handover ceremony at Batu Lintang Road, Kuching, officially receiving four safes donated by the Kuching City Scout Association—delivering timely and practical support to aid in the rebuilding efforts following the headquarters’ fire.
This batch of safes will help the headquarters better preserve important documents and materials, while also enhancing the security and efficiency of administrative operations, thus laying a solid foundation for the overall reconstruction process.
At the handover ceremony, Kuching City Scout Association President Lee Jiang Sheng personally handed over the safe keys and user manuals to the Chairman of the Sarawak Scout Association’s Executive Committee, Chua Mei Sing, with several scout leaders witnessing the event.
In her speech, Chua Mei Sing expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Kuching City Scout Association for their generous support at this critical moment, describing the assistance as not just material help, but also a spiritual encouragement, embodying the excellent tradition of unity and mutual support among scouts.
"The association's proactive donation of safes not only helps improve the headquarters’ working environment, but also encourages us to move forward more determinedly on the path of rebuilding."
The good deed of the Kuching City Scout Association demonstrates their ongoing concern and active commitment to the development of Sarawak Scouts, setting a good example for all scouts.
This donation is one element of the headquarters’ post-fire reconstruction efforts and will help raise the standard of office equipment management, enabling the headquarters to continue promoting various scouting activities and community service programs in a safer and more orderly environment. This will further strengthen overall growth in training, planning, and serving society.
