French Presidency Slams Netanyahu as Wrong and Despicable

On the 19th, the French Presidency gave a strong response to accusations made by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu against Macron, stating that Netanyahu's accusations are "wrong and despicable."

In an official letter to the French President, Netanyahu stated that Macron intends to recognize Palestine at the next UN General Assembly, which has "fanned the flames of anti-Semitism."

In the letter, Netanyahu urged Macron to "replace weakness with action and appeasement with resolve," and requested Macron to accomplish this before the Jewish New Year on September 23.

The French Presidency condemned the accusations, reiterating that France "protects and will always protect its Jewish compatriots."

The French Presidency said that the Israeli Prime Minister’s letter “will not go unanswered” and that what is needed now is seriousness and responsibility, not confusion and manipulation.

The French Presidency pointed out that Macron learned of the letter's contents through the media and that Macron will also respond in the form of a letter.

The French Presidency stated: “There are analyses claiming that France's decision to recognize the State of Palestine in September has led to an increase in anti-Semitic violence in France; such analysis is wrong and despicable, and we will definitely respond.”

Netanyahu "claps back" at Australian Prime Minister

After Israel revoked the visas of Australian diplomats in response to Australia’s announcement to recognize the State of Palestine, on the 19th Netanyahu also “clapped back” at Australian Prime Minister Albanese on social media.

On social media, Netanyahu described Albanese as a “weak politician” and also claimed that Albanese “betrayed Israel and abandoned Australian Jews.”

On August 11, Albanese announced that Australia will recognize the State of Palestine at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in September. On the 18th, Israeli Foreign Minister Saar announced that Israel had revoked the visas of several Australian diplomats to the Palestinian Authority, citing Australia's decision to recognize the State of Palestine and the Australian side's refusal to grant visas to several Israelis.
