(Miri, 24th) The Chairman of SMK Chung Hua Miri, Tan Sri Datuk Chai Yew Lan, said that witnessing the Lower Sixth students achieve such outstanding results—especially with the total GPA surpassing 3.11 for the first time—was “the most touching and gratifying moment” in her many years as Chairperson.
She pointed out that this is not only a breakthrough in statistics, but also represents the students' spirit of persevering through adversity and fully demonstrates the results of the school's years of continuous efforts in curriculum development and teaching quality.
She said with emotion: “Behind these achievements lies the fruit borne from countless days and nights of hard work. I am proud of our children, and I send them my sincerest blessings as they are about to embark on a new journey. I hope they will carry this honor and confidence, bravely move towards higher institutions, and pursue their dreams.”
She also emphasized that the Lower Sixth semester system is a flexible and promising path for further education, and called on more Form Five graduates to re-examine their views about Lower Sixth—not to consider it as an “alternative option,” but as a “solid and steady path, well-rooted and ready for a powerful leap.”
“SMK Chung Hua Miri is equipped with quality facilities and an experienced teaching team, providing students with a safe, systematic, and supportive learning environment. I sincerely welcome more aspirants to join the Lower Sixth and begin a new chapter in life.”
