Liu Hanping: Grateful for the Selfless Dedication of Teachers and Students - Lianzhong Lion Dance Fundraising Concludes Successfully

(Miri, 5th) Lian Lü Secondary School board member and Lion Dance Troupe director Liu Hanping stated that the successful completion of the Chinese New Year lion dance fundraising event was attributed to the collective effort and perseverance of all board members, teachers, and students, for which he expressed deep gratitude and admiration.

He said that although Chinese New Year is traditionally a time for reunion, everyone put aside time with their families for the development of the school and the fundraising work, fearlessly enduring the sun and rain, sticking to their posts, and completing every performance—this spirit was truly moving.

“It is precisely because of everyone’s effort and perseverance that our lion dance fundraising activity could be successfully concluded. Here, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all board members, teachers, and students.”

Liu Hanping made these remarks last night when attending the 2026 Chinese New Year lion dance appreciation dinner, organized by Lian Lü Secondary School at the East Forest Valley Golf Club.

He also expressed special thanks to Lian Lü Secondary School’s joint board chairman, Dato Sri Liu Jiujian, for his long-term support and care for the school, as well as for graciously organizing the appreciation dinner so that everyone could gather, relax, and unwind.

He pointed out that everyone’s hard work during the Chinese New Year period not only demonstrated team spirit, but also embodied a deep sense of belonging and responsibility to the school. He looks forward to continuing to work together in the future to achieve even greater results.
