(Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th) The Laksamana College of Business (LCB) recently held a certificate awarding ceremony to recognize 77 culinary students for their outstanding performance during their internships.
This event highlighted the students' contributions during the international winter training camp, as well as their involvement in various high-standard food and beverage service activities.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech from Dr. Sivarajah, CEO and Vice Principal of LCB, who praised the students for their rigorous work ethic, professionalism, and determination in striving for excellence.
These qualities were fully exhibited during their internships at the student-operated restaurant of the college.
Dr. Sivarajah also emphasized that their hands-on experience reflected the high-quality training and real-world practice opportunities provided by LCB’s culinary school.
Senior management of LCB and faculty from the School of Culinary Arts also attended the ceremony, expressing pride in the students’ growth and achievements.
The recognition given to these interns underscores LCB's broader mission to create accessible pathways for students to enter professional industries.
Through government-sponsored BPTV scholarships and vocational and technical education training programs, Bruneian students can pursue certification courses in fields such as culinary arts, information technology, business, and tourism management.
These courses are designed to help students acquire the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in the workplace. The college remains committed to nurturing future talent and supporting Brunei’s human capital development vision.
