(Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th) A total of 280 students from Year 7 and Year 8 of Masin Secondary School participated in the 'Understanding ASEAN' roadshow held at the school's hall on April 2.
This roadshow was organized by the Media and Corporate Communication Division, International Affairs Section, Corporate Relations Unit of the Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office. The unit also serves as the Secretariat of the ASEAN Committee on Information’s Sub-Committee.
One of the highlights of the roadshow was a briefing by Eddy Iswandy, Head of the Media and Corporate Communication Division, International Affairs Section, Corporate Relations Unit of the Information Department.
The briefing aimed to raise students’ awareness of their roles as members of the ASEAN community, which aligns with the regional motto of 'One Vision, One Identity, One Community.'
Students also had the opportunity to participate in the 'Understanding ASEAN' quiz competition, with prizes awarded by Principal Norwin. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote understanding of ASEAN, foster patriotism, and cultivate a sense of unity—the so-called 'ASEAN spirit.' The program aims to raise awareness about the purpose and functions of ASEAN as a regional organization.
The roadshow intends to strengthen the relationship between the Ministry of Information and all segments of society, especially young students. The program aims to nurture the next generation who will inherit national spirit and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the country.
