(Melayu 6th) The Fuzhou Association of Belait held its annual Qingming public memorial ceremony yesterday at the Chinese Chung Fook Shou Shan Cemetery in Belait district. The purpose of the event is to "honor the departed and remember one's roots."
The Qingming Festival is one of the traditional festivals for the Chinese community, aiming mainly to promote the cultural spirit of "filial piety."
The memorial ceremony organized by the association was successfully completed with the participation of committee members led by the Welfare Committee’s Fang Jinghui.
