(Miri, 14th) In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Maritime Enforcement Agency, the Miri Maritime Enforcement Agency (Zon Maritim Miri) held an open day event today at the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) complex building in Pulau Melayu, inviting the public to closely understand maritime enforcement work and participate in various exciting activities.

It is also the first time this complex building has been open to the public since its official launch in November last year.

The open day activities took place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., with various exciting programs, including maritime enforcement exercises demonstrating the enforcement team's ability to handle emergencies. Additionally, the public could board and tour enforcement vessels to learn about their equipment and functions, with opportunities to participate in boat tours to experience daily maritime enforcement patrol tasks.

The Miri Maritime Enforcement Zone Open Day received enthusiastic participation from various community members and media friends, celebrating this milestone moment together. This event not only helps to enhance public awareness of maritime safety but also strengthens community ties. It also reflects the commitment of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency in safeguarding national maritime security and actively responding to the “Malaysia Madani” development philosophy.

In conjunction with the open day, the Miri Maritime Enforcement Zone hosted various activities, including search demonstrations, vessel tours, boat activities, lucky draws, search activity exhibitions, career exhibitions, and weapon displays.
