Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp is expected to return to the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series! Now 63, he last played Captain Jack Sparrow in 2017, and after nearly 10 years, news of his return has resurfaced. Series producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently confirmed that the studio is currently in talks with Depp about 'Pirates of the Caribbean 6,' and that the script is also in development.
In an interview with 'Deadline Hollywood' at the D23 event, Jerry revealed: “We are talking with Johnny, and we are working on the script, hoping to make this film happen.” Although no formal contract has been signed yet, the producer confirmed the discussions, reigniting fans’ hopes that Captain Jack Sparrow will return. Reportedly, current plans have Margot Robbie playing the new lead in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 6,' and if Depp’s return is finalized, Jack Sparrow will appear as a supporting character. This suggests the series may preserve its classic characters while passing the torch to a new generation of leads. #
