Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov stated on the 26th that Russia welcomes the efforts made by the United States to seek a solution to the Ukraine crisis, but the Russian side will not abandon its own position or make any concessions.

At a press conference held in Moscow, he said that the various versions of the Russia-Ukraine “peace plan” fall within the scope of negotiations, but the Russian side will not publicly discuss the details of the content.

He emphasized that, in the context of Russian forces still conducting special military operations, the Russian side "will not make any concessions or abandon its position" on current key issues.

When talking about Russia-U.S. relations, Ryabkov stressed that the process of normalizing Russia-U.S. relations is still at an early stage, and the Russian side is willing to continue to engage in dialogue with the U.S. side in all areas of mutual interest, but the dialogue "must be based on equality and mutual benefit."

"Too Early" to Talk About End of Conflict

Kremlin spokesman Peskov pointed out on the 26th that it is "too early" to draw conclusions about the end of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

When commenting on the statements that the two sides are close to reaching a peace agreement, he said, "It is still too early to draw conclusions."

U.S. Middle East envoy Whitaker will visit Moscow next week to meet with Russian President Putin.

Meanwhile, when discussing the topic of Russia-Ukraine peace talks, Ukrainian presidential office adviser Biefz emphasized that Ukraine will not accept any Russian occupation of Ukrainian territory and will not make any constitutional amendments regarding this; this is a Ukrainian "red line."

In an interview with Ukrainian media, he said that Ukraine believes that discussions on territorial issues should be based on two points: "the current line of military contact should serve as the basis for discussion" and "discussions should be conducted at the leadership level."
