With the theme of "Human-Machine Symbiosis, Integration of Industry and Demand", the 2026 World Robot Conference opened in Beijing on Wednesday. More than 300 domestic and international enterprises related to robotics are competing on the same stage with over 3,000 exhibits.
This year’s conference features many “new faces”, among them Shanghai Morphy Vantage Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., which was established less than a year ago. At their booth, reporters saw a demonstration of their product MORPHI KINO, a wheeled robot that autonomously completed a 15-minute-long, cross-zone, multi-step household chore demonstration. Within a simulated home environment, the robot linked a series of daily tasks such as living room cleaning, tidying the table, restocking drinks in the fridge, as well as washing, drying, and folding laundry.
"We hope to fully showcase our technology through the conference platform and also 'learn from' our peers," said Wen Yuxiang, the company’s perception algorithm expert. "We aim to complete full-process tests of our core technology in hotels within two to three years, and gradually enter users' homes within five years."
At the booth of Chongqing Longmeika Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd., their segmented automated welding system was demonstrating ship welding scenarios. Engineer Li Hao said the robot can replace humans in harsh welding environments characterized by high temperatures, intense light, and loud noise, achieving 24-hour uninterrupted operation. Currently, this solution has been implemented in Korean shipyards, where it allocates welding tasks based on the factory’s existing scheduling system. It is mainly used for overall frame welding after the segmented assembly of ship sections, and has basically achieved fully unmanned operation. He hopes to promote related products through this conference and exchange ideas with peers to further improve the path to product implementation.
This year’s conference is jointly organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the World Robot Cooperation Organization. Lasting five days, it consists of an opening ceremony, forums, an expo, competitions, concurrent activities, and a closing ceremony. There are seven main forums and seventy concurrent activities.
