(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) The 2025 BMW Brunei International Half Marathon (BIHM) was held last Sunday morning, attracting over 700 runners from both local and international communities. The event made a significant contribution in promoting Brunei’s image as one of the region’s top sports destinations.
Mohammad Rosfazilah, Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Bureau under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, attended the event as the guest of honor, which took place at the Budiman Track, National Stadium.
Also in attendance were Ms. Qiu Lisha, General Manager of QAF Auto Sdn. Bhd., Amylin Lanly, Chief Operating Officer of GoMamam, and Pengiran Danny, Race Director of the 2025 BMW BIHM.
Before the race, coaches from Fitness Zone led participants through a group warm-up session.
Following that, flag-raising ceremonies were held for the Open Group Half Marathon and BMW Half Marathon events. Ms. Qiu Lisha, General Manager of QAF Auto Sdn. Bhd., also officiated the flag-off for the 10km event.
In the Men's Open Half Marathon, the champion was Martin Onesmus, with Dennis Isika as the runner-up, and Ruzaini Mahadi taking third place.
In the Women's Open Half Marathon, the champion was Siaw Khim Tho, Shiyun Trena Tay took second place, and Yee Yen Lim finished third.
In the BMW Men's Open Half Marathon, Mastani claimed the title, Pengiran Andy was the runner-up, and Mohammad Ikhwan placed third.
In the BMW Women's Open Half Marathon, Nurol Roszaimey emerged as champion, Dayangku Rabiatul Muthiah was runner-up, and Fadhlina Ahmad came in third.
In the Men's 10km Open category, Kasyful Asymawi took first place, followed by Irfan Arfah in second, and Abbas Abdullah in third.
In the Women's 10km Open category, Ann Nukuhi claimed victory, Linda Chin Hui Ching secured second, and Jia Jia Jap took third place.
