(Kuching, 2nd) Sarawak United People's Party Batu Kawah Branch Organizational Secretary Wu Deyu pointed out that Sarawak is a state gradually moving towards development and prosperity. This is due to the enlightened Sarawak Coalition Government, which actively prioritizes the interests of Sarawak and seeks to benefit the people of Sarawak in education, healthcare, and various other fields.
He stated that under the concept of racial harmony, the Sarawak government is actively shaping a stable Sarawak society, which is evident to all. On the other hand, the Democratic Action Party of Malaya has never changed its consistent approach of hiding some truths to achieve the purpose of attacking and slandering the Sarawak government.
He mentioned that although the leaders of the Sarawak DAP are citizens of Sarawak, they fear the leaders of the Malaya DAP. From speech to stance, they are restricted by Malaya, and under such influence, they will not prioritize Sarawak's interests, often mocking Sarawak's development and construction, even misleading the public and sensationalizing issues.
In today's statement, Wu Deyu pointed out that recently, the DAP, without prior understanding and thorough investigation, accused the government of the welfare aid provided to the people being 'misappropriated to zero' and even urged the government to explain the incident.
In reality, the applicant's application had not been approved yet, and the relevant clinic misunderstood that one of the accounts had no funds due to two elderly individuals having identical names.
He stated that as a political party, if the DAP had a sense of responsibility, they should seek clarification from the welfare department before the public raises concerns, to ascertain the truth, rather than indiscriminately holding a press conference to criticize the government authorities.
'Secondly, after an independent high school student was denied a loan application from the Sarawak Foundation, the DAP immediately accused and criticized the government, claiming that the government was insincere in recognizing the Unified Examination Certificate.'
He disclosed that the Sarawak Foundation had stated that the reason for the loan refusal was because the applicant did not pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education Bahasa Malaysia subject and did not provide the Unified Examination results.
He said that under such circumstances, the Sarawak DAP Chairman Chong Chieng Jen immediately held a press conference to accuse the Sarawak government of not being sincere about the Unified Examination Certificate, which is completely contrary to the facts.
'If we trace back further, during the PH government's tenure, then Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng maliciously suggested that Sarawak would go bankrupt in three years without explaining how much annual income the Sarawak government had, but rather by comparing Sarawak's reserve funds and annual expenditures.'
Wu Deyu pointed out that the above three incidents corroborate that the DAP always loves to hold press conferences to criticize the Sarawak government without understanding the situation or intentionally concealing facts.
He stated that in the era of the PH government constantly proclaiming to combat fake news, the actions of the Sarawak DAP are simply creating fake news, which is a very irresponsible political style.
