(Bandar Seri Begawan, 21st) — President of the Brunei Chinese Literary and Arts Association, Chan Lichen, hosted a dinner for the committee members on Friday night at a local restaurant, celebrating the festive season together and exchanging ideas and outlooks for the association’s future development.
In her speech, Chan Lichen welcomed and thanked the committee members for taking the time to attend. She pointed out that the advancement of literary and artistic endeavors relies on teamwork and continued dedication, expressing hope that the committee members will continue to work hand in hand to elevate the development of Brunei’s arts and literature to new heights.
She emphasized the need to actively attract more young people with an interest in literature and the arts to participate in the association’s affairs and activities, nurturing new talent, passing the torch, and ensuring the continuous and vigorous development of local arts and culture.
The committee members in attendance included Chu Yunli, Lin Yuantai, Pan Weifang, Zhang Wenfa, Zhan Xingmin, Lin Jingyi, Luo Guohua, Huang Bingxian, Li Fenghe, and Lin Meiyu. During the event, everyone exchanged views on the association’s planning, event arrangements, and future cooperation, in a harmonious atmosphere.
In addition, Chan Lichen mentioned that recently, committee members had paid visits to senior members Zhang Yinqi and Teacher Liang Youqing, as well as to Tsai Xinzhe, head of the Youth League of the Fujian Association, for exchanges and interaction. These visits aimed to strengthen ties between the arts community and various associations, build consensus, and jointly promote the development of cultural undertakings.
