(Kuala Belait, 21st)—The lion dance is a traditional cultural symbol of the Chinese Lunar New Year, signifying the drive to ward off evil, welcome blessings, and pray for peace and prosperity. During the festive season, the resounding drums and soaring auspicious lions not only intensify the celebratory atmosphere, but also showcase the profound heritage and unique charm of Chinese culture.

It is understood that this year, under the approval of the Brunei government, school associations have been granted permits (permit) for only two days, during which they may visit pre-booked residences for lion dance New Year activities. Although the duration of permitted activity is limited, the relevant school associations are still making active preparations and arranging elaborate programs, striving to deliver the most exciting and energetic performances within the limited time frame, bringing sincere New Year greetings to the public.

It is worth mentioning that the lion dance is not only an important traditional cultural event for the Chinese community, but is also gradually becoming a cultural performance appreciated and supported by people of all ethnic groups. Whenever the auspicious lion visits and the drums sound, it always attracts people of different backgrounds to stop and watch, creating a boisterous and lively scene.

All ethnic communities' enthusiastic participation and support fully demonstrate the spirit of mutual respect and cultural exchange in a multicultural society, also bringing more harmony and warmth to the Lunar New Year.
