The original large-scale Chinese musical ‘GoLi Good Show’, which premiered last September, will return to the stage this April with a newly upgraded version: ‘GoLi Good Show 2.0’! In addition to the returning original cast, this production will welcome four “new forces”: news anchors Chan Kar Yong, Teoh Pei Pei, as well as online creators Ah Lee and Miss Durian, who will bring a fresh look to the stage.
Director Lee Yung-Chang revealed that ‘GoLi Good Show 2.0’ will adjust certain elements of the performance based on the unique traits of the new cast members, presenting more layers to the show. He stated that, through music and body language, the musical transforms the audience’s innermost emotions into tangible experiences, touching the depths of their feelings. When the audience sees their own or others’ emotions reflected on stage, it not only alleviates feelings of loneliness, but also sparks awareness regarding mental health. The director added a little teaser, joking that these “secret changes” can only be experienced firsthand by coming to the show.
