22-year-old Taiwanese actress Wen Qi (real name: Chen Wenqi) previously won Best Supporting Actress at the 54th Golden Horse Awards for the film "The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful." In recent years, she has been developing her career in China. On the 8th, reports emerged that while attending the premiere event for a new project, she was cornered by an unknown male fan. Staff intervened, leading to a tense and awkward atmosphere. On the morning of the 9th, her studio also responded, confirming the incident and calling on fans to stay rational when following celebrities.

According to Sina Entertainment, Wen Qi appeared on the 8th at Beijing's Wanda Cinema CBD location to attend the premiere of the film "Mate, Don't Leave Yet." Some netizens shared that they witnessed a man closely following Wen Qi, even cornering her, seemingly just to take a solo photo with her. There were no security guards or bodyguards present at the scene—only the female director Zheng Ziyi was beside Wen Qi and attempted to shield her. After being rejected, the man continuously cursed, saying things like "Idiot" and "Block her off."

After videos of the incident surfaced, many netizens revealed that the man is a repeat offender, often using his pursuit of celebrities as a way to harass female entertainers. Other female stars have also suffered in the past. The man has continued to be active on social media since. As of the morning of the 9th, there had been no intervention from the police or official condemnation from the event organizers. Wen Qi's studio reassured the public by saying, "Wen Qi has returned home safely. Thank you to everyone who cares about her, please rest assured." The studio appealed: "An artist's schedule and personal space are protected by law. Any unauthorized blocking or contact may constitute illegal behavior. The studio has collected evidence on the scene and reserves the right to hold the perpetrator legally responsible. We will not tolerate any violation of the artist's legitimate rights and interests." The statement also said that Wen Qi values the opportunity to meet with everyone, but the meetup on the 8th was not an encounter anyone hoped for, reminding everyone: "We hope that at every occasion people keep a respectful distance, respect the artist's personal wishes, do not block, forcefully photograph, or make contact. Please focus your support on Xiao Qi's works and public events."
