The trendy toys launched by Pop Mart have sparked a collectors' frenzy, with many celebrities like Lisa, Christine Fan, Pace Wu, and Shu Qi showcasing them. Chinese actor Li Chen, upon seeing the news, suddenly remembered that he might have one as well. He rummaged through his boxes to take a photo and jokingly asked everyone, "Has it appreciated in value?" Collectors pointed out that the Labubu he possesses is a limited edition from the 2020 STS exhibition, initially priced at 899 RMB (approximately MYR 531). Now, it is valued in the second-hand market at about 4,000 to 5,000 RMB (approximately MYR 2,362 to MYR 2,953), with unopened ones priced up to 5,188 RMB (approximately MYR 3,064), a more than five-fold increase.

IP under Pop Mart, including Labubu, Crybaby, and Molly, have become globally popular, causing the net worth of founder Wang Ning to skyrocket, now reaching 20.3 billion USD (about MYR 86.1 billion), surpassing Muyuan Foods founder Qin Yinglin's 16.3 billion USD (about MYR 69.1 billion), making him the new richest person in Henan. Recently, at an auction in Beijing, the world's only mint green "Labubu" figure was auctioned for 1.08 million RMB (about MYR 637,000), an astounding price.
