The major and deadly fire at Hong Fu Court in Hong Kong has shocked the world. From November 29 to December 1, the national flag and regional flag at all government buildings and facilities across Hong Kong (including the offices of the HKSAR Government overseas) will be flown at half-mast as a mark of mourning.
During this period, principal government officials will cancel all non-essential public activities. All entertainment and celebratory events organized or funded by the government will be arranged, canceled, or postponed as appropriate.
During the mourning period, the Home Affairs Department will set up condolence areas in all 18 districts across Hong Kong, allowing citizens to sign condolence books to express their deepest sympathies to the victims. The condolence books can be signed from November 29 to December 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
