UK Edition of 'ELLE' Magazine Crops Out Rose on IG, Sparking 'Racism' Controversy

The women's fashion magazine UK edition of 'ELLE' recently posted a group photo from the Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) 2026 Spring/Summer women's fashion show on their official IG, but cropped out BLACKPINK member Rose (Park Chaeyoung), who was on the right side of the photo, sparking criticism and raising questions of alleged 'racism'.

Paris Fashion Week was held at the end of September, where BLACKPINK members made a joint appearance. According to original photos released by media outlets such as 'W Magazine', Rose was standing on the far right of the photo, posing with model Hailey Bieber, YSL Beaute ambassador Zoe Kravitz, influencer Debby Han, among others. However, in the version of the photo posted by the UK edition of 'ELLE' on its official IG, Rose, who was originally in the shot, is nowhere to be seen, having been cropped out.

Since Rose is the global ambassador for Saint Laurent, the UK edition of 'ELLE' magazine's unexplained act of cropping her out drew even more intense criticism from Korean and international netizens. Many pointed out that the actions of the UK edition of 'ELLE' amounted to 'racism'. Most fans spoke up for her, demanding an explanation from the UK edition of 'ELLE' magazine.
