(Miri, 3rd) Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man visited several leaders of the Sarawak People's Justice Party in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration. This visit is not only to celebrate the festive atmosphere but also represents our commitment to continuously strengthen the connection between party leaders and reinforce the foundations and core values long advocated by the Justice Party.
He said, in the face of the party election season, this visit is an important platform for us to reflect on and review the founding principles of our party. These principles are justice, equality, and unity, reflecting the cultural and racial diversity of this country. As the Sarawak Justice Youth Chief, I believe that this meeting with former and current leadership provides a space for us to exchange views, strengthen the direction of the party, and enhance our determination to build a young leadership path that is people-oriented and adheres to the principles of struggle.
"On the foundation of maintaining universal justice, justice continues unwaveringly, regardless of race, religion, or regional background. We know there are various allegations and insinuations that say we are not protectors of a particular race, religion, or region. However, we remain steadfast in the principle that justice belongs to everyone and continue to strive to ensure the equal protection of the rights of all groups. This is the principle that binds us together and is the pillar of strength in our party's struggle from the past to the present."
He pointed out that as a Sarawakian, I joined this party because of its fundamental values of struggle: fighting for justice for every citizen. I believe that the suspicion, mistrust, and prejudice that arise in the country are actually due to political, economic, and social injustice. Therefore, the name of the People's Justice Party itself reflects our determination to combat all forms of injustice because justice is the precondition for achieving true unity.
"Through various trials and challenges, the Justice Party has never wavered from its initial intention to enhance the well-being of the people nationwide. We firmly believe that strengthening measures of unity and respect for cultural differences are key to building community resilience, thereby uniting Malaysians so they do not stray from important issues. By focusing on key issues such as poverty, economic opportunity, development, welfare, and improving quality of life, we continue to strive to provide concrete solutions to the people's problems."
He also said that this Hari Raya visit and meeting with the Sarawak Justice Party leadership reignited the spirit and determination for us to continue to fight for the party's foundations and core values. Through social justice, unity in diversity, and the determination to uphold the rights and dignity of every citizen, I firmly believe that justice is the best political platform for Malaysia to achieve a more just and prosperous future. We will continue to fight side by side, rejecting all slander and challenges, to achieve a nation that defends the destiny of all humanity, regardless of race, religion, or region. May this Hari Raya bring new light to strengthen our brotherhood and our commitment to a shared struggle.
