(Bangkok, 21st) As China’s “Golden Week” National Day holiday approaches, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand has issued a statement reminding Chinese tourists traveling to Thailand to pay attention to travel safety, travel in groups, and stay away from pornography, gambling, and drugs.
China’s 2025 National Day holiday will be from October 1st to October 8th.
On the 20th, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand released the “Precautions for Traveling to Thailand during the National Day & Mid-Autumn Holidays,” reminding visitors to avoid dangerous areas where natural disasters might occur. Tourists are advised to play safe, use public transportation or book vehicles through official channels, participate in amusement activities within their capabilities, follow professional guidance, and always wear proper safety gear.
The embassy urged Chinese tourists in Thailand to travel in groups, be cautious when choosing high-risk activities such as outdoor hiking, jungle ziplining, caving, snorkeling, and to stay away from pornography, gambling, and drugs.
Earlier this year, Chinese actor Wang Xing was lured to Bangkok and became a victim of a human trafficking scam, being sold to a telecom fraud park in Myanmar, which drew wide attention both in China and abroad. In May, there were consecutive incidents where Chinese tourists were robbed in Chiang Mai and Pattaya. This year, there was also an accident at Patong Beach in Phuket where two water scooters collided, resulting in the death of a Chinese tourist.
