57-year-old Xiao Qiang, famed as Taiwan's number one beauty, recently joined 'Riding the Wind 2026' ('Sisters Who Make Waves 7'). In the second public performance, she was grouped with Zhuang Fa, Wen Zhengrong, and An Qi. While in the dorm, An Qi couldn't hold back her long-suppressed emotions and broke down in tears. Xiao Qiang remained extremely calm as she watched, first saying: 'Don't cry right now. If you cry now, I'll leave immediately.' She even pretended to get up and leave, and her composed attitude stirred both positive and negative reactions.
While eating in the dorm, An Qi expressed that she’d come to terms with things, believing she could’ve been eliminated in the last round. Xiao Qiang, eating as well, responded: 'I don't think that's very likely.' An Qi continued, saying she still struggled to cope with the pressure. She began to choke up, and Xiao Qiang interrupted her, asking her not to cry or else she would leave the room right away.

Xiao Qiang then said sternly to An Qi: 'You are a diamond, you’ll shine wherever you are. I keep telling you that you must have confidence, you are full of treasures and special skills—what are you afraid of?' She continued to say she doesn't like seeing weakness in people. She even praised An Qi, 'If we all had your skills, what would we be afraid of? If you truly love yourself, if you are excellent enough, you will be the brightest star on your own life’s stage.'
