(Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th) To welcome Brunei's 42nd National Day, the Wen Zhong (Chung Hwa) Middle School Kindergarten held a National Day-themed celebration on February 21 (Saturday) this year. The aim was to help young children get to know their country and cultivate patriotic feelings from an early age, all through fun and engaging activities.
On the day of the event, the kindergarten was newly decorated, with national flags and various handmade crafts created by teachers and students hanging everywhere, filling the place with a festive and joyful atmosphere.
The teachers designed a variety of exciting activities, blending knowledge about Brunei's culture and history into the program, allowing the children to learn as they played games. Afterwards, all the children, holding national flags, happily paraded around the campus under the guidance of their teachers. Through this hands-on experience, the children deepened their sense of identity and emotion towards their country.
Assistant Principal Shen Manling of the kindergarten said that such activities allow children to naturally learn about their country and develop patriotic awareness during the festive celebrations.
Principal Xu Yuelan noted that holding National Day celebrations at the kindergarten not only gave the children a meaningful holiday but also inspired their patriotic feelings in a joyful and warm environment.
