On the night of the 2nd, at the "Sky Theatre" scenic area located by the Liuyang River in Hunan, China, an accident occurred where fireworks fell, igniting nearby hillsides and alarming the gathered crowd.

According to Chinese media reports, hundreds of drones ascended at the time, preparing for a fireworks display. When the drone formation was changing, lit fireworks floated down like scattered flowers from the sky, drawing repeated exclamations of awe from the audience. However, this meticulously choreographed night sky spectacle unexpectedly ignited the nearby hillside forest.

Videos circulating online show that audience members at the scene not only fled from the falling fireworks but some even held chairs above their heads to protect themselves from being hit by falling fireworks, and the fallen fireworks once triggered a fire alarm.

According to the scenic area's management, the fire was not large. Security and staff on-site discovered the danger immediately; the area affected was mainly ground vegetation. Emergency plans were promptly initiated, and the fire was put out in a short time, having no impact on subsequent performances.

The fire department stated that according to the scenic area staff, it was confirmed that the accident during the drone show caused dry grass on the hillside to catch fire. The fire was promptly extinguished, and the event schedule was not affected, so visitors can continue to watch as normal.

However, the report did not mention whether any spectators were injured in this incident.

According to the "Sky Theatre" WeChat official account, two fireworks galas were held at Liuyang Sky Theatre on the evenings of October 2nd and 3rd.
