(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) The Tutong District Enforcement Team imposed a fine of BND 2,000 on two companies involved in littering in public areas, with the incident taking place at a project site in Kampung Bukit Panggal, Mukim Keriam, Tutong District.
If the companies fail to pay the fine within seven days from the date of issuance, they may be prosecuted. If found guilty, the companies will be fined not less than BND 2,000 and not more than BND 10,000; for a second or repeated offense, the companies will be fined not less than BND 10,000 and not more than BND 30,000, and may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 12 months, or both.
