(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) In order to inherit and promote outstanding Chinese traditional culture and to boost the flourishing development of calligraphy art in Brunei, the 2025 Brunei National Calligraphy Competition, co-organized by the Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Association and Chung Hwa Middle School Brunei, and undertaken by Jiaxue Calligraphy Studio, will be grandly held on September 19, 2025 (Friday) at Chung Hwa Middle School Brunei Peace Hall.
This competition is initiated by Mr. Sun De'an, President of the World Writers Association, and aims to provide a high-level platform for calligraphy enthusiasts nationwide to showcase their talents and exchange skills.
The chairman of the competition is President Sun De'an, while the chairman of the organizing committee is Li Fenghe. The organizing committee vice-chairs are divided into internal and external groups: the internal vice-chairs are Xing Xiuzhu and Liu Lingjun; the external vice-chairs are Zhu Yunli, Chen Lizhen, and Lin Yuantai. The committee’s finance is managed by Chen Lizhen and Xing Xiuzhu. The publicity team members include Zhu Yunli, Xing Xiuzhu, Chen Lizhen, and Zheng Huina.
The competition is divided into six groups: Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Junior High, Senior High, Non-Chinese, and Open Group.
