(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) The Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) of the Ministry of Education, Azman, stated that the launch of smart green classrooms at Pengiran Muda Mahkota Secondary School and Lambak Kiri Secondary School is not only significant for the Ministry of Education but also demonstrates Brunei's commitment to building an intelligent and sustainable nation.
When inaugurating the classrooms equipped with solar-powered smart technology at the two selected secondary schools, he said: "At each selected school, the smart classrooms are equipped with interactive panel systems and powered by 40 solar panels. This opens up opportunities for technology-based interactive teaching and learning, while reducing the schools’ reliance on conventional energy sources.
“By applying these technologies, we have created an innovative learning space that supports blended learning and digital pedagogy, and cultivates digital citizenship.”
Minister of Education Datin Romaizah officiated the launching ceremony.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo, the Managing Director of Huawei International Limited, and representatives of Huawei Technologies (Brunei) Co., Ltd. attended the event.
