U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a nationwide address on the evening of the 1st, U.S. Eastern Time, declaring a “rapid, decisive, and overwhelming victory” in the Iran conflict.
He pointed out that the core strategic objectives of the U.S. in the Iran conflict are “close to completion.”
He said: “Tonight, I am pleased to announce that these core strategic objectives are about to be achieved. Over the past four weeks, our armed forces have achieved rapid, decisive, and overwhelming victories on the battlefield—victories rarely seen before.”
He stated that the Iranian navy has now been completely destroyed, and its air force and missile programs have also been severely damaged.
Trump noted that it is expected all military objectives in the Iran conflict will be completed “in a very short period of time.” “Within the next two to three weeks, we will launch extremely fierce strikes against them... Meanwhile, negotiations are also underway.”
He also stated that the United States will not allow its Gulf Arab allies or Israel to be “harmed or to fail” as a result of the Iran war.
